Hi There!
I'm Brianna Day, a video game designer with a BFA in Game Art.
I graduated with the highest honors in my class at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design! I'm a passionate game designer (and avid video game player) focused on player experience, inclusivity, and accessibility. I'm also Project Management Certified, so I know how to organize and document the game's and team's progress from ideation to completion! I've created games in both Unity and Unreal Engine. I'm self-taught in scripting with C# and with Unreal Engine's Blueprint. I have experience using Autodesk Maya to create 3D models, as well as UV mapping, texturing, rigging, and animating those models. I also have experience sculpting in ZBrush and creating textures in Substance Painter. I have created assets in Adobe Photoshop, anything and everything from UI designs to character sprites! If I don't know how to do something, give me 24 hours (and some coffee) and I'll have figured out how to do it!

The Curse

  • Created and maintained a game design document during the 3-month project timeline.

  • Participated in weekly critique sessions and applied valuable peer feedback as the project progressed.

  • Modeled the base game layout in Maya and imported base assets and textures into Unreal Engine.

  • Developed complex Blueprint systems to initiate cutscenes when variables are met, continuously monitoring and displaying variables through UI elements, and timed variables.

Hotel Auberge

  • Authored and maintained a game design document for the team throughout the 6-month timeline of the project.

  • Led the process of importing assets and assembling the game. Assisted in creating various supporting assets as needed by team members.

  • Designed, scripted, and implemented the UI system in C# for Unity through Visual Studio, as well as the character controller and camera follow scripts.

Draculove

  • Created all character and asset sprites in a 8-bit style and ensured clean, sharp pixels through importing into Unity.

  • Drafted C# scripts in Visual Studio for switching between visual novel and 2D platformer styles of gameplay.

  • Customized UI elements to support visual novel sections of the game.

The Gold Beneath the Sea

  • Created a game design document to track the project through one week of development and assign daily tasks.

  • Designed all artwork and researched audio to use within the game.

  • Scripted in C# to using Visual Studio to create a UI system, audio system, and drag-and-drop and 'find it' puzzles.
